Plexus Slim Challenge- Week 1

plexus_slim This last week was absolutely crazy! Halloween is not a holiday I love and they just seem to drag it out with activity over activity. We were invited to a ton of stuff but only participated in three different events- which meant the holiday lasted at least a week AND there’s still pillowcases full of candy hanging around my house. Stickiness, wrappers and crazy kids everywhere! So I’m going backwards a week here to tell you how my first week on the Plexus Slim Challenge went :) (Luckily I kept really good records in Excel of everything.)

Week 1 Plexus Slim Challenge

Water:

My first week I’m learning to drink LOTS of water. Half of your body weigh in ounces of water is a LOT of water, especially when you aren’t used to drinking that much. I swear I felt pregnant the first few days always having to run to the bathroom every five minutes, but by the end of the week I had gotten used to it and it wasn’t too bad.

The Pink Drink & Accelerator:

Usually I get up at 6am every morning to get my kids off to school (elementary school starts EARLY here in Texas) and that’s always too early for me to eat breakfast. So it was easy for me at 6:30 when the kids are eating to drink my Pink Drink and take my accelerator pill. Then 30 minutes later right before taking the kids to school I’d grab a protein shake for breakfast. The first few days I started out only taking one accelerator pill and then switched to two when I realized it wasn’t going to do anything funny to me.

At first I thought taking the accelerator might be making me tired because I found myself feeling sluggish in the afternoons (of course I do have four kids so that doesn’t help) so my distributor Clare suggested my body might be trying to detox and had me take the Candida test to see if I had an excess amount of yeast in my body (which can make it harder to loose weight). After not doing so great on that test she sent me a bottle of ProBio 5 to add to my routine (which I’ll talk about on my week 2 report).

Eating Healthy & Exercising…What I do:

I did try and eat a little healthier this week, knowing that it would help me loose more weight and inches if I did so but I didn’t go crazy and eliminate carbs, sweets or snacks completely but I did eat less. I also didn’t start a workout routine- I just don’t have time right now to go beyond what I do chasing after 4 kids on a daily basis. This next week as it gets lighter in the morning I do want to try walking to school with the kids a few days or walking home with them but for now not adding a big exercise routine.

Weighing In + Measurements:

I really need to put my scale away during the week when I’m not officially weighing myself because I can get a little obsessive about standing on the scale every time I go in my bathroom. After one full week on the Pink Drink and Accelerator I’ve lost 2.6lbs! To me that’s amazing. When I was working out for an hour every day at the gym every single day and restricting myself to low carbs and no snacks I was loosing about 2lbs a week. It amazes me that I can loose that much, even more and don’t have to make these huge sacrifices where I don’t get to enjoy a brownie with the family once in a while. I’d love for the scale to read a lower number but I’m the most happy about loosing inches.

Waist: 1 inch

Hips: 1 inch

Upper Thigh: 1 inch

Lower Thigh: 0

Calf: 0

Bicep: .5 inches

A total of 3.5 inches in my first week excites me!!

I’m excited to see what time will bring. With results like this I’m definitely encouraged to continue with Plexus Slim!

  2. Drinking enough water is always a challenge for me in the fall and winter. In the summer it's fine, but in the morning when it's dark and cold...!

  3. That's exciting! Do you know if it's safe while breastfeeding? That's the issue with most of those things. :)
